RMS Titanic- Lowe v. Ismayby ~Foxsnout45

True Story. While struggling with the Davits, 5th Officer Harold Lowe turned on White Star Line managing director and owner of the RMS Titanic Bruce Ismay (who is technically his boss...).

A worried Ismay was frantically trying to get all the lifeboats down, but most of the crew didn't sense that he was their boss (he was in his pajamas, lol), and constantly brushed off his demands with "I await CAPTAIN'S orders."

Boat No.5 was going down carefully with 3rd Officer Herbert Pitman in tow, and Ismay pressed to the rails began to yell frantically at Lowe :"Lower Away!" Lowe snapped and being a 5th officer should never even think to yell at Ismay like so. Lowe was also one of the only Officers who recognized him. Without another word, Ismay ran to another boat, a little hurt. All passengers on No.5 gasped and conversed on the matter of the trouble Lowe would recieve when he would reach New York.

Ah yes. Everytime I read about this 'incident' I chuckle. I know Mr. Ismay was attempting to help, but he was driving poor Lowe mad!
Anyways, i love this drawing, its great to see a true story from Titanic drawn out so well.
